out there this morning. as you are likely used to now, another cool start to the day. this is friday, yea, november 16th. good morning, i'm tony perkins. >> i'm alison seymour. it has been a long week. before we get to the weather and traffic we have breaking developments in the amber alert issued overnight in virginia. the search had been on for 18- month-old alexis rose carwile and her mother, jennifer dawn carwile. you see their pictures there. we've just learned they have been located in prince george's county, maryland and that they are safe. authorities had believed they were in d.c. in the area, because of this man. he is eric eugene black which they were originally traveling with. all three went missing yesterday afternoon, but investigators quickly learned black had relatives in the d.c. area. black was pulled over by virginia state police on i-95 south of richmond around 4:30 this morning. again, an 18-month-old girl and her mother who had been the subject of an amber alert have been found safe in prince george's county. >>> good news there. we turn to tucker barnes, he's g

words congress people are using to describe this. although, it is involving respected military leaders and they say they were blindsided. questions about the timing of the investigation and resignation. he was scheduled to testify thursday about his fact-finding mission into the attack. the sudden resignation means his deputy will testify instead. the fbi had been investigating threatening e-mails sent to another woman said to be a family friend. investigators determined he did not have anything to do with the e-mails still members of congress said they should have been confidentially briefed. and may still call the general to testify. many wish it didn't have to come to this. we know that paula also is married, has two children. really just a tragedy all around. >> it is. >> there's a lot of talk about whether he should have actually resigned or not considering what's about to happen with the testimony and everything. >> one of the things is first of all, you have a secret affair. and a secret affair, those things can be exploited. and then also you have a code of conduct. and it says

tell us a little bit more about what dominion is doing is the spokes person for dominion virginia. how big of an eft is this for you? >> we'll be sending about 1,500 people up to new jersey to assist with the restoration there. that's about the biggest contingent we've ever sent out of state. but we're happy to do it because as you said, we've received assistance many times before. we're going up with 1,500 people, five different contingents that have between 6 to 60 buckets and we'll have patrollers, line crews and we'll have some point people and managerial people there to help. we have trailers that we're bringing up that will have lodging. we'll have our own catering so that first energy, the company that we'll be assisting does not have to worry about us except to give us the orders so we can go out and help them get power back on. >> you're leaving about 7:30 today from national harbor. when do you ebbs president-elect to arrive in new jersey, where do you anticipate you'll be working and how long will those crews be there? >> it will be a four to five-hour trip for us. we will g

god, we're praying for us. >> another storm system is predicted to hit the region next week. a noreaster could affect mid-atlantic and new england states. >>> all right. power crews here in our area are mobilizing to help the storm victims to our north. >>> dominion virginia is staging hundreds of workers and trucks in national harbor. they will deploy to new york and new jersey. we're live there with more details on their efforts. >> reporter: this is the largest mobilization ever for dominion, virginia, crews to aid another area. you can see they've got their trucks lined up here at national harbor. they're staging at the guy lord hotel, prepared to leave in just a few hours to help restore power to new york and new jersey devastated by superstorm sandy. many people remain without power four days after sandy made landfall on the shore. 1,500 workers and more than 70 trucks are going to be leaving for the disaster areas in the northeast in just a few hours. they're staging right now and will depart around 7:30 this morning. the damage is widespread from new jersey and beyond.
